Weather ClosingsWith the winter season now upon us, I wanted to take a minute to familiarize everyone with how we notify the CTS community of school closings due to severe weather. CTS has a hotline set up for weather closing information, 773.322.0275. The message on the hotline will not change unless there is a school closing or delay. Here is the standard message: "Hello, you’ve reached the Chicago Theological Seminary Weather and Emergency Closing Hotline. In the event of the seminary closing due to weather, this message will be changed by 6:45 am on the day in question. Please do not leave a message asking if the seminary will close. Thank you and have a good day." In the event of the seminary closing, as mentioned above, the message will be changed by 6:45 am on the day in question. The weather closing message will say that CTS is closed and will state specifically what day the seminary is closed or delayed. If you are a student living outside of the Chicago metro area and cannot get to CTS due to weather conditions in your area on a day that CTS remains open, please notify your professor. If you have any questions about this procedure, please email them to me. Thanks, Steve Manning |
